Hey Guys,

I trust that God god is preparing your heart and mind for the people of the Dominican Republic. I wanted to take a few munites to share with you some of the thing you need to be preparing for. On the field you never know what is going to happen so it as always better to be propared for a wide range of different ministries. So here is a list for you guys to be preparing for.

1)Be prepared to share your God story! (tell how you got to where you are)

2) Prepare 2 VBS THeams & Lessons with crafts.

3) Have 3 Children Songs prepared w/Motions

4) Think of 1 Game that requires little or no set up or props

5) The Talk - Prepare a talk for about 15 Min

Ok so right about now I assume that you are freaking out about some of this. Please voice your questions, so we can ease you concerns a little. Also know that we are here to hepl you so please call on us if you have any questions or need help in any way.

Hey Guys,

I want to clear up a few things, for you guys since I have already beed hit with several comments. The first thing that I want to say is that this is by no means an assignment, but know that a sermon could come up so you have to be prepared to talk in front of people. Lets not think of it really as a sermon more a talk or lecture.  I we as a leadership team want you to be as prepared  now as possible for the things that may come up on the field, so the more you prepare now the easier it will be later.  

I know that everyone is freaking out about the sermon, so let me start there. Here is a article to at get you started  http://www.brethrenonline.org/articles/PREACH1.HTM. Also I would be happy to help you, and I am sure that your past would have some great tips too.

Sara you asked about the song being in english or spanish. Im gonna say english, but I will check more into that and let you know.

I was afraid to even write this blog because I dont want you guys to feel overwhelmed. Be creative and put for a little effort into it and God will reward your faithfulness. And as always give us a call or send an email for help.
