I grew up in Lindenhurst, IL with loving parents and the coolest older sister.When i was born, my sister was in 5th grade, and she was always playing with me as I grew up.When i was about 6 years old, my parents had seperated and my life began to change.I had to move to a different house and change to a new school (Millburn), but i had made many new friends.Me and my friends had a lot of fun together, and we grew close as we would always be with each other during school.During this time my mom had met someone, and in the middle of my 3rd grade year, she had remarried him.Again, i had to say goodbye to my friends and move to a new house, with a new school.For the first few weeks it was pretty difficult on me because i had to meet all new people and make brand new friends.But after a little while i had made some new friends and was having a great time.However, at the end of my 5th grade year, i found out that we had to move again.The new house we were moving into, was in my previous school district (Millburn).Unfortunately, by this time i had lost touch with all of my old friends from there, and now i was going back.Throughout the year i had become very close with a girl named kristin.At the end of the year, she had invited me to her youth group because she knew that i was not a christian.The night that i went, they showed a video and talked about a retreat called CDYC.CDYC is a 4-day retreat where christians and their friends go to play sports, hang out, and learn about and grow in God.I had decided to go, and when i came back i was a changed person.That weekend, i had dedicated my life to Christ.Since then, i have made so many new friends that have helped me grow in Christ. Now when i look back to 6th grade, i see the amazing change that has happened in me, and only because of Gods grace.God has given me so many amazing experiences and oppourtunites in the past 3 1/2 years, it is just so awesome how He's been working in me.
