A person who has beenย a huge influence on my life is my old youth pastor Amy. She was one of the people who brought me to God in the first place, as well as one of the people to baptize me. She had taught me a lot in her ministry, but faith was the most significant. I had some of my most precious and memorable moments of being a Christian with her and she could always find a way to make me smile. The biggest way she taught me about faith is through a horrible story in which her life was dramatically changed. Through a series of unfortunate events, which I cant really say on here, she could no longer do her passion of youth ministry, and was forced to move. While this might not be positive in her eyes, the real story of what she taught all of us is irreplaceable. I was shocked how crazy in love with Jesus she still was even after the events took place. I could not see anyone being that faithful to Jesus after what she went through. I still talk to her and every once in a while i get to see her. Her faith has remained despite the many unfortunate circumstances that she had experienced in a years time. She is what gave me the passion to serve. She would always take me out of my comfort zone and involve me in some leadership opportunities as well as ministry opportunities. I owe a big part of who I am today to her.

Writing this makes me think, if I was in her shoes when those events took place, would I come out faithful? Would I continue to show the same passion I did before? Would I? It is easy for anyone to say they would, but when a situation like that actually occurs, It gets hard to see what the outcome will be.
